Ricardo Londono
MD/PhD - Biotech founder
Born and raised in Colombia.
Moved to The US at 18.
Learned English/graduated from electrical and computer engineering @ FIU.
Worked as a dishwasher/pizzaman to pay for college.
Came to Pittsburgh for medical school @ PittMed.
Met my wife (nurse at the time) working at the hospital and we now have a 3month old daughter.
After medschool I did my PhD in Tissue Engineering and graduated with honors. Won many MANY awards lol.
Did a Post-Doc at the Center for Cellular and Molecular Engineering at Pitt where I studied tissue regeneration in lizards and salamanders.
Have published many papers and book chapters on all of the above,
Left it all behind to work on my own projects because Im not into red-tape and all the politics associated with medicine and academia.
Have a decent half-guard and my favorite submission is a knee-bar
